Sassy, Sexy and Soulful and as some would say she is the Real Deal. Vocal ability that will stand up to any artist both old school and new school. A flat-footed authentic soul singer that merged on to the music scene with a whole lot to say. Ms. Monique was born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida. Performing was in her heart as a very young age. Ms. Monique went on to sit many stages with musical legends such as BB King, The O’Jays, Jeffrey Osborne and the list goes on. Her debut album Soul Sessions Chapter 1 is gaining critical acclaim both state side as well as Europe and Asia. This album is creating such a buzz in the industry and has many saying that Ms. Monique will be just the artist to bring back Classic Soul. Her peers compare her to Gladys Knight, Betty Wright and the sassy Millie Jackson. She accepts these comparisons gracefully however when you encounter Ms. Monique you will know that she is defiantly in a class of her own. Her immaculate writing skills have enabled her to write and co-produce each track on her album. Each song coming from personal experiences as well as others around her. Ms. Monique is receiving airplay across the world and is continuing to move into arenas far beyond even her initial expectations. She is enjoying the rise to the top and gives God the glory for giving her the platform to share her talent with the world. |
